Vintage Mac Serial Number Decoder
To use this decoder, simply type in your Mac's serial number in the decoder below. A classic Mac Serial number looks like this: C6310ROM0001AP (Macintosh Plus). Click the decode button to decode your Mac´s serial number. More info about reading the serial number here.
Any asterisks can be left out, as they are not considered to be part of the serial number. The decoder supports Classic Mac´s from 1984 to 1999 like Macintosh, Mac SE´s, Mac II´s, Mac LC´s, PowerBook´s, Performa´s, Quadra´s and PowerMac´s serial numbers.

Please improve this decoder...
If you run across an unsupported modell or an "undefined" value, please contact me with as much data as you know about the computer like: serial number, modell, modell number, CPU speed, where it was made (if known), when it was made (if known), etc. I try to add support in a future revision. A big thank-you goes out to everyone who submitted informations — you've helped to improve this decoder immensely!
